Appreciation post: the boring 400 word post I almost didn't publish got my best leads in 6 months
I wrote a plain post in October about how to pick a pest guy for a rental property, no keywords, no tricks, just answers to the 5 questions I get on the phone every day. It brought in 9 calls in 3 weeks from property managers in Mesa, and I still can't fully explain it. Has anyone else had a dry, no frills piece outpull their big keyword posts?
Isn't it more likely the post just happened to hit at the right time and those 9 calls would've come in anyway from word of mouth? One good month is a story, not proof, so show me the same result over a year before we call boring copy the winner.
