Hot take: peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are the perfect salty-sweet comfort food

Had a rough Monday after my shop's diagnostic computer crashed on a 2014 F-150, but a PB and kosher dill on white bread from my lunchbox turned the whole day around, anyone else defend this combo to their friends?

Ngl that combo saved my life during a late night at the garage. Crunchy pickles plus creamy peanut butter is just weirdly perfect. People look at me crazy when I pull one out at lunch but they don't know what they're missing. Honest truth is that salty-sweet thing works way better than it should.

Isn't it funny how the best food discoveries always happen when you're not trying to impress anyone? @rose_cooper your late night garage snack might actually explain a lot about why fast food combos that sound gross end up being cultural staples. The world would be a lot less interesting if we all stuck to what looks right on paper.

My buddy Mike tried this once at a cookout and his wife thought he'd lost his mind. He was dipping dill pickle slices into a jar of peanut butter and his kid started crying thinking dad was eating something broken. Couple weeks later I caught him making them for lunch with crispy bacon added and honestly it was kind of genius. He still won't admit it publicly though, thinks it'll ruin his reputation as a "serious griller" or something.
