I spent $15 on a jar of pickles to try the pickle and peanut butter sandwich trend, and I'm not mad about it.

Honestly the real crime here is spending that much on pickles for a sandwich test. The cheap crunchy ones from the grocery store work just as well for that salty bite against the peanut butter. It's a texture thing more than a fancy pickle thing. You basically paid for the trend itself, not the ingredients. Still, if it made you happy and you liked the sandwich, then it was worth it. Just maybe grab the store brand next time.

Oh come on, Wendy's got a point but let's be real. Spending fifteen bucks on pickles for a peanut butter sandwich is like using a gold-plated hammer to hang a poster. The whole fun of that weird combo is the cheap, loud crunch fighting the sticky peanut butter. You're just paying extra for the jar to look nice on your counter now.

My grandma used to make these with bread and butter pickles, the sweet kind. The sweet and salty mix with the peanut butter is a whole different thing than the dill pickle version. It's less about crunch and more about the flavors melting together. That $15 jar might have been some fancy fermented kind, which changes the taste even more. Maybe they were going for that sour tang instead of just vinegar salt.
