My sister gagged when she saw me put peanut butter on my hot dog
She said it looked like something a toddler would make... but I've been doing it since I was a kid in Omaha. I tried it without the peanut butter for a week after her comment, just to see. The plain dog felt so wrong and boring, like it was missing its best friend. I went right back to my two big spoonfuls of creamy Jif. Who decided ketchup and mustard are the only okay toppings anyway? Anyone else have a hot dog combo that gets you that kind of reaction?

Tell your sister some of us like our hot dogs with a little more personality than just ketchup.

Wait, your sister puts ketchup on hot dogs? That's a crime in some cities!

Honestly, peanut butter on a hot dog sounds weird at first, but it makes sense. It's like a sweet and salty thing. My cousin puts grape jelly on his sausage biscuits, which is the same idea. People just get stuck on what's normal. Tell your sister more toppings means more fun. My weird one is a hot dog with coleslaw and a fried egg, which gets looks every time.
