My roommate made fun of me for it last night at dinner, but after 10 years of eating it this way I swear it makes the bread stay crispy longer, anyone else have a weird dipping habit they stand by?

Ketchup on grilled cheese is a solid move. People get weird about it, but it's basically tomato soup that's condensed and cold. Try dipping a plain hot dog bun in ketchup, that's my go-to since elementary school. It sounds wrong but the soft bread and cold ketchup mix well together. Your roommate doesn't know what they're missing.

Dipping a plain hot dog bun in ketchup since elementary school? That's a level of commitment I have to respect but also question. I mean ketchup on grilled cheese is one thing, but just a naked bun with ketchup? That's like eating the sleeve of the hug without the hug, isn't it?
