3 years in and I just realized my color matching was off because of the salon lights
So last month I was doing a root touch up on a regular client in Denver and she goes "why does it look different when I walk outside?" and I brushed it off. But then this week I did a test strand under natural daylight and the color was way warmer than what I saw inside. Turns out my salon has those cool white LEDs that throw off every shade of brown I mix. Three years of this lmao. Anyone else have to redo their whole station lighting setup or am I the last one to figure this out?

Get yourself a couple of full spectrum daylight bulbs from a hardware store. They cost like $15 each and screw into regular lamps. I switched mine out last year after the same problem. Also put a white towel over your mirror when you check color. It stops the wall color from messing with your eyes.

Hey @alicesingh, have you tried putting a clipboard next to your mirror with a sample of the paint on it? I did that once and it helped me see how the color looked in different light without having to hold the swatch up all the time. Probably overcomplicating it, but just a thought.
