Picked the cheaper toner over my usual brand - surprised myself

Had a client ask for a cool ash brown last week and I was out of my go-to, so I grabbed a $9 toner from the supply house instead of the $22 one. Turned out so good she booked again for next month. Anybody else find a budget product that actually works better?

Disagree honestly, cheaper toner faded super fast on me.

Ugh, "faded super fast" is the worst, I've been there too! I bought a no-name brand once and my documents looked like they'd been sitting in the sun for a year after like two weeks. It's such a letdown when you think you're saving money and then it just doesn't hold up. Sorry you had that experience, it really stinks.

Oh man, @joseph_adams66 I feel that. I tried a cheap generic toner once and it looked like garbage within a week. What actually worked for me was switching to a mid-range compatible brand instead of the absolute cheapest one. Not the name brand expensive stuff but not the bottom barrel either. I've been using one from a company called LD for a couple years now and the prints still look good months later. Might be worth paying a few bucks more if you're sick of faded results.
