I remember when we'd spend a whole morning just rigging a tricky lift, but now with the new wireless load moment indicators on our fleet, we're set up and green-lit in under 20 minutes.

The shift from relying purely on hand signals and gut feel to having real-time data on the cab screen about load weight, radius, and capacity has basically cut our pre-lift planning time in half since we got the new systems installed last fall, right?

Cut the planning time in half" sounds great, but all that new data just means more stuff to check before you even start. Feels like it just moves the time spent, you know?

Totally see that everywhere now. They promise to save you time but just hide the work somewhere else. Like those quick assemble furniture kits that need a whole other set of tools. The time gets spent on the prep instead of the building. It's not really saved, just moved to a step they don't count. Makes the whole promise feel pretty empty.

Yeah, exactly. It's just shifting the work to a different step.
