I've noticed our prompt submissions are increasingly food-focused, and it's concerning.
I've been tracking the prompts in our community for a while now, and there's a clear trend towards food-related themes. Every new batch seems to include something about a mysterious recipe or a life-changing meal. For example, recently we had prompts like 'A diner where the food reveals truths' and 'A cookbook that writes itself.' While these can be fun, they're becoming so common that they risk making our stories predictable. It feels like we're defaulting to culinary metaphors instead of exploring other vivid aspects of life. I worry this limits the diversity of narratives we produce. Let's challenge ourselves to think beyond the kitchen for fresh inspiration.

Understand your point, but why default to food when life is vast?

Totally get that. I took up woodworking last year and it's wild how much it changed my daily rhythm. It's easy to fall into the food routine when you're just tired after work.

Oh totally, it's just that food is such an easy comfort when you're wiped. Like after my shift, starting a whole project feels impossible, so I just grab a snack.
