Overheard a guy at the library say 'password managers are too risky' and I couldn't stay quiet

I was just at the downtown branch last Tuesday working on some research when I heard two guys talking near the computer bank. One of them said he'd never use a password manager because 'what if they get hacked and steal everything in one go?' I get the fear but that logic is backwards. If you reuse passwords across sites, one data breach exposes everything anyway. I use Bitwarden and it's saved me from maybe 30 phishing attempts this year. Anyone else have to talk someone out of that mindset?

Bitwarden's solid. People are scared of the wrong stuff.

Yeah actually that framing is a bit off since password managers use end to end encryption so even if they got hacked your stuff is still scrambled. Most data breaches happen because of reused passwords not managers.
