PSA: my bank's own text scam test says only 3 in 10 people pass it
So last Friday I was poking around my bank's site and found a 6 question "spot the scam text" quiz they put up. Out of the 2,400 people who took it this month, only about 720 passed, which is 30%. The trickiest one was a fake delivery notice with the real company name but a tracking link that had the order number typed out wrong, and almost everyone clicked it. But here's the debate: some folks say these quizzes just scare people and real training should happen at work, while others swear doing one a month actually rewires your gut. Which side are you on, does a 5 minute quiz every few weeks really help, or is it just theater?
You think a 5 minute quiz once a month actually sticks? I ran a team that did these and the only people who got better were the ones who almost fell for a real one first and felt stupid about it.
