Got stuck in a tenant's walk-in freezer during a showing on Federal Blvd and now I bring a doorstop to every tour
Last Tuesday I was showing a 2,400 sq ft restaurant space on Federal Blvd to a couple who want to open a taqueria. The tenant still had all their stuff in there, so we were weaving around prep tables, and my client asked to see the walk-in. The second we all stepped inside, the door swung shut behind us and the handle on the inside was busted. We were in there for 11 minutes before the property manager heard us banging on the wall. It was 14 degrees and my client's wife was holding a frozen box of churros like a teddy bear. Now I prop every commercial door open with a $3 rubber doorstop before anyone walks through, which feels dumb until it isn't. Anyone else got a cheap habit that came out of one bad showing?
