Hot take: drawing on my phone with a stylus versus my old tablet

I got a cheap stylus for my phone to sketch on the bus. Tried to do a portrait and the lines looked like a toddler drew them. Then I borrowed my friend's old Wacom tablet for a day and finished the same piece in an hour. The pressure sensitivity made a huge difference. Anyone else find phone drawing just doesn't cut it for real work?

Yeah, the pressure sensitivity thing is a total game changer. I tried to do some line art on my phone screen and it just looked flat and weird, like a bad tracing. My tablet pen feels like an actual pencil with weight behind it. It's the difference between coloring with a marker and shading with charcoal.

Doubt it makes that big a difference for most people. Plenty of great art gets made on phones and basic tablets. Sounds like you just prefer your fancy gear.
