Just compared using a Wacom Cintiq 16 versus my old Intuos tablet for detailed line work, and the difference is huge.

I've been using an Intuos Pro for years and thought it was fine. Last week, I borrowed a friend's Cintiq 16 to finish a comic panel with lots of fine hatching. Drawing directly on the screen cut my time on that one panel from about 90 minutes down to 40. The hand-eye coordination is just so much more natural for that kind of precision work. It feels less like moving a mouse and more like actual drawing. For anyone doing a lot of detailed illustration, is the jump to a screen tablet really that game-changing across the board, or are there types of art where a regular tablet still holds up?

That "hand-eye coordination" point is huge for detailed work, but does the screen cause more neck strain over long sessions?

My 20 minute timer fixed that for me.

Cut your time in half? That's insane.
