The stats on my latest piece made me question the whole 'engagement' thing
I posted a detailed character study last Tuesday and it got 40% less views than a lazy sketch I threw up in 10 minutes. Found the breakdown in the platform's analytics dashboard, views dropped off exactly after the first 5 seconds on the detailed one. Is everyone just scrolling past anything that takes more than a glance to read?

That drop off at 5 seconds is rough to see in the data. It really does feel like the stuff you pour yourself into gets skipped over.

Man, same thing happened to me last month with a long breakdown I spent hours on. The comments I got were good but way fewer people even saw it compared to some dumb doodle.
