Dropped $3k on Google Ads for a local bakery in Austin and got zero conversions

I was running ads for a cupcake shop in Austin for 6 weeks straight, targeting people within 5 miles. Spent exactly $3,200 and didn't get a single purchase or call from it. Turns out I had the wrong landing page setup and my targeting was too broad. Has anyone else had a campaign totally flop and later found one stupid setting ruining everything?

That "wrong landing page" bit is probably what got you.

Right, because clicking the wrong link is clearly a federal crime. @oliviat17 obviously the system is perfect and it's always our fault for not reading the fine print in invisible ink. I guess we all need to train our brains to memorize pixel-perfect button locations before we're allowed to navigate the internet. It's not like companies design these sites to be confusing on purpose or anything. Next time I'll bring a magnifying glass and a certified map of the landing page layout, maybe that'll save me from this grave sin.
