Am I the only one who misses the random coffee breaks with coworkers?
Back when I worked in an office, we'd have unplanned chats by the water cooler that led to good ideas. Now, as a nomad, all meetings are set on video calls, and it feels more like business. I sometimes plan virtual 'coffee chats' to copy that, but it's not the same. The fun of sudden teamwork is hard to get when you're always on the go.

The fun of sudden teamwork"? It's just chatting.

You see that piece about how casual chats actually build team trust faster than formal meetings? Makes you wonder if Tyler missed that.

Did you ever catch yourself thinking those water cooler talks were a waste of time? I totally did, saw it as just goofing off. But man, reading that thing @christopher76 mentioned about trust really flipped it for me. Those random talks weren't just chatting, they were like the glue that held the team together without anyone even trying. Now with everything scheduled, you have to force that glue and it feels fake. That's the real thing we lost, not just the coffee.
