Found a co-working space in Medellin that charges by the minute

I landed in Medellin last month and needed somewhere to work on a deadline project. A buddy told me about this place near Poblado called Atomic Cowork that has a weird pricing model - you pay for exactly the time you use, down to the minute. I figured it would be a gimmick but I actually saved like $40 over a week compared to the day passes at other spots. The internet was solid and they had these quiet phone booths for calls which saved me when I had to jump on a video meeting. Only catch is they close at 8pm sharp so no late night grinding. Has anyone else run into pay-per-minute spaces on the road?

Can't BELIEVE they actually charge by the minute, that's wild.

Wait, by the MINUTE? That's actually insane. @alice336 I thought you were joking until I just looked it up. Five dollars for ten minutes of connection or something like that? That's worse than a parking meter. How do they even track that, do they have a timer running every time you scroll past a product?

Whoa, hold on, I gotta respectfully disagree on this one. In my experience, that kind of pricing isn't as wild as it sounds once you actually use it. Think of it less like a parking meter and more like a pay-per-view event or a short rental. The timer usually only runs when you're actively browsing their catalog or in a live chat with a seller, not when you're just staring at a product page. Your mileage may vary, but I've seen a few niche marketplaces pull this off, and they tend to be super specific about what counts as "connected time." It keeps the experience focused, like you're paying for direct access rather than just window shopping.
