I finally switched from coworking spaces to library passes for 3 months

Tried WeWork for $299 a month and ended up getting a free library card with booking rooms and better WiFi for zero dollars. Has anyone else made the switch and found a hidden fee I'm missing?

Three times last week I saw people camped out in the same library meeting room with laptops open and headphones on, which tells me this trend is bigger than just a few of us. @simon717, you're right about the wifi slowdown, but I've noticed that same rule applies to most free public spaces like community centers and even some coffee shops when the lunch rush hits. To me, it feels like we're all just trading one set of noise for another depending on what time of day we show up.

Honestly, I read somewhere that library networks get hammered during finals because everyone's streaming videos and downloading textbooks at the same time. Tbh, it makes sense when you think about how many devices are fighting for the same connection in one building. Ngl, I've heard people say they just go to a coffee shop or use their phone hotspot instead.
