My 9 to 5 desk setup almost killed my back, found a foldable hack in Lisbon
Six months ago I was glued to cafe chairs with my laptop at elbow height. My neck and shoulders were wrecked every single day. Then I spent a week in Lisbon and watched a guy run his whole business from a park bench using a rolled up jacket and a clipboard. I started carrying a small folding lap desk that weighs maybe a pound and a half. Now I adjust my spot every 45 minutes, standing or sitting, and the difference is night and day. Anyone else build a portable ergonomics kit that actually travels well?
You really need a special desk to sit in a park though? People have been working off benches and their laps forever, sounds like the jacket and clipboard guy was doing fine without any gear. Plus hauling around extra stuff kinda defeats the whole point of being mobile.
