TIL my wife loads forks upside down and it's making the dishwasher useless
Saw the difference over about 3 weeks. Dishes kept coming out with food stuck on them. Thought the machine was dying. Almost called a repair guy. Then I caught her loading forks tines-up. Changed them to tines-down like a normal person. Now they actually come out clean every single load. Anyone else have a partner who sabotages the dishwasher?

Hold on, is this really that big of a deal? I mean, I load forks tines down myself, but I've seen people do it the other way and their dishes still come out clean. Maybe your dishwasher was already on its way out and the fork thing just happened to be the last straw. Seems like a lot of people are blaming their spouse for something a simple rinse cycle could probably fix.

Wait, you're telling me tines-up is wrong? I always loaded them that way. Thought it was common sense. Then my sister-in-law visited and saw me loading. She laughed her ass off. Said I was trapping food in the tines. Switched to tines-down that same day after seeing how much cleaner everything got. Still feels weird but the dishes don't lie.
