Why does nobody mention how architects sometimes mark things in weird spots?
Had an architect mark a beam location right where a vent had to go on a job last month, and when I asked him about it he just shrugged and said 'figure it out.' Has anyone else dealt with plans that seem like they were drawn without checking the actual space?

Did you ever see that post going around about the architect who drew a door that opened into a support column? I read it on a different forum a while back and it stuck with me. It sounds like you ran into the same kind of thing. Some of those plans feel like they were drawn in a vacuum, with no thought about pipes, ducts, or vents. I swear they just slap marks down wherever and hope for the best.

Ngl, I used to give architects the benefit of the doubt on stuff like that. I figured there was always some logical reason, like a building code or structural thing I just didn't get. But then I saw a set of plans where they put a vent right behind where a sink was supposed to be. No way to hook it up. Changed my mind completely. Some of em really are just throwing stuff on paper and calling it a day.
