Finally got my mud mix perfect on a big Reno job

I was working on a full house remodel in Springfield and the humidity was all over the place. After three tries, I nailed a 20-minute pot life by using cold water from the basement tap and mixing my all-purpose mud for exactly 90 seconds. The sheets went up so smooth that day. Anyone else have a go-to trick for mixing in weird weather?

My buddy in Florida swears by keeping his mud pails in a cooler with ice packs during the summer.

Reminds me of the time we tried to keep worms cool for fishing...

Keeping the mud pails in a cooler is a smart move for that heat. I've had to do similar things on sticky summer days.
