Had to choose between paper tape and mesh tape on a 30 unit job

I went with mesh tape because it was faster and the guys are used to it around here. Three weeks in and I'm already going back to fix cracks on every other unit. Shoulda just spent the extra time on paper tape. Anyone else deal with this on big apartments?

Never liked paper tape until I had to fix a whole building that used mesh.

Three rolls of paper tape into a 40-unit apartment building and I wanted to burn the whole thing down. Paper tape is the devil you know, at least.

Grant_hart saying they wanted to burn the whole thing down with paper tape - yeah I used to feel that way too. But after this mesh tape disaster on a 30 unit job I'm eating my words big time. Paper tape might be slower but at least you're not coming back to fix cracks every week.
