I finally checked the actual cost of my drywall tape waste over a year

I ran the numbers last week and realized I'm throwing away around $180 a year in scrap mesh tape because I keep cutting too long strips. Anyone else ever actually calculate what they're losing to bad habits?

Same here, I did the math and felt sick realizing how much I waste on bad cuts too.

Fair point but just a heads up, the math might be off if you're counting the cost of the knife and sharpening supplies in there. That stuff pays for itself over time if you stick with it.
