Walked into a new build in Phoenix and lost it over the corner beads
I was doing a final walkthrough on a 3500 square foot custom home yesterday and the tape joints looked fine but every single corner bead had dents and waves. The GC tried to tell me it was normal settling but Ive been doing this 12 years and I know better. Anyone else deal with builders who try to blame bad corner bead work on the framing?

Hit the nail on the head @the_james. Sorry you're dealing with that nonsense.

Normal settling" lmao what a load of crap. Corner beads don't dent from framing settling unless the house is falling down around you. I walked a house once where the GC tried telling me the wavy corners were from "humidity changes" during curing. Nah man, that's just someone not knowing how to set a bead right or using cheaper thin gauge metal. You can literally see where they missed the nails or screws and the mud just got pushed around.
