Had a 2012 MacBook Pro logic board fail on me last Tuesday. The old SMC fuse trick didn't work this time.

Damn, that sucks. Did you try a full SMC reset with the battery disconnected? On my 2012, the fuse trick only worked once. I had to unplug the battery, hold the power button for a full minute, then reconnect everything. It's a pain but it brought mine back to life for a few more months.
