Had a weirdly good Tuesday fixing a 1980s arcade cabinet

This guy brought in a beat-up Pac-Man machine that had been in his garage for like 15 years. I figured the power supply was toast, but after cleaning the edge connector with a pink eraser, it just fired right up. I mean, I spent maybe an hour on it total, and he was so happy he paid me double my usual rate. Anyone else have a simple fix that turned a whole day around?

Seriously, it's just an old game machine. People get way too excited about fixing basic stuff. It was probably just dusty.

It's just fixing a thing, not saving a life. The bar for joy seems pretty low.
