Just realized my CRM automation was sending follow-ups to the wrong segment for 3 weeks

I spent 7 hours tracing back through our Salesforce workflow after noticing our Q2 nurture campaign had a 0% open rate, only to find a single dropdown field was mapped to the wrong pipeline stage, has anyone else had a tiny data mapping issue cause a total campaign fail?

I heard about a similar thing from a friend who runs email campaigns for a SaaS company. He had a field that was supposed to filter by "opted in" but accidentally filtered by "visited pricing page" instead, and three months of emails went out to people who never signed up. It's crazy how one dropdown can mess everything up.

Literally remapped the wrong checkbox once and sent 500 "welcome back" emails to people who never left.
