A client in Tacoma asked me to skip the steam during her facial

She has rosacea and said the heat always made her flare up worse for days. I had been using steam on almost everyone as a default step for years. Now I keep a cool mist humidifier in the room for sensitive skin types and it's made a big difference. How do you all adjust your routine for clients with reactive skin?

It's like what @lucaslee said, sometimes the best fix is just to stop doing the thing that causes the problem.

Oh wow, that's smart. Honestly, I had a regular with a similar issue and switching to chilled aloe gel was a total game changer for her.

Read somewhere that the cold helps close up pores after a shave. Makes sense it would calm things down.
