Had a client freak out over a breakout last week and realized I was skipping one step

I used to just steam, extract, and go straight to masks. But after a client got mad about a pimple popping up 2 days later I started using a high frequency wand after extractions. Now I do it every time. No more angry calls. Any of you guys do this step or am I way behind?

Oh absolutely, I used to be in the "just slap a mask on and pray" club too. That line about "saves you headaches later" is basically my new life motto since I got smart about it. But to answer nora_dixon's question, I do a full face sweep because why pick and choose which spots get the fancy treatment? It takes like two extra minutes and my clients haven't called me crying since, so I'll take the boring full face route over playing dermatologist roulette any day. Plus it makes me feel like I'm holding a little lightsaber, which is honestly half the fun of the job.

Read somewhere that high frequency actually helps kill bacteria under the skin so it makes sense. I always thought it was just for acne but now I use it on almost everyone after extractions. Seems like one of those steps that saves you headaches later.

Wait, do you actually hit every single extraction site with it or just the ones that looked angry? Ive been spot treating but now wondering if im missing something obvious. Trying to figure out if theres a real difference between doing a full face sweep vs just hitting the problem areas.
