TIL using a dampened konjac sponge instead of dry cotton rounds for toner application saves product and feels way gentler on my clients with rosacea
I compared it side by side last week on two different clients in their 40s and the sponge used about half the toner while still giving full coverage, has anyone else tried this method and noticed less irritation?

Half the toner sounds like a solid perk but is the irritation really that different for most people? Cotton rounds are cheap and quick, so swapping to a damp sponge feels like adding a step for mixed results. Honestly, unless the client has serious sensitivity, a good technique with the right toner matters way more.

mixed results" is the thing that stands out to me here. I've been doing facials on the side for about eight years and the difference isn't small for clients with actual rosacea or just reactive skin. The sponge being damp already means you're not dragging dry cotton across their face, which is where most of the redness comes from in my experience. I'd say it's worth trying on a regular client you know has sensitive skin just to see for yourself. If you're not seeing much difference after a couple weeks, yeah, cotton rounds are fine and way easier to stock up on.
