Compared two insulation types for my attic and one was way better

I was debating between spray foam and fiberglass batts for my attic in Columbus. The spray foam was $2,800 more but after last January's cold snap I can tell the difference easily. My heating bill dropped by about 35% compared to my neighbor who used fiberglass. Has anyone else noticed a big gap between these two methods?

Wait, are you sure that comparison is totally fair? Your neighbor might have different insulation needs or their fiberglass could have been installed poorly, not all fiberglass batts are the same. Also, spray foam usually costs more upfront, but that big of a drop sounds like your attic might have had way more leaks than theirs.

Alright, who cares if the comparison is totally fair or not lol. It's not like we're measuring rocket science here, it's just insulation. People overthink this stuff way too much. If the guy's power bill dropped that much, good for him, who's got time to run a full energy audit on their neighbor's attic? I swear, every time someone shares a win on here, someone's gotta show up like "well, actually..." and pick it apart. Chill out, it's not that deep.
