Watching a concrete pour in Seattle totally changed my mind about the '5-second rule'
The foreman dropped his sandwich on the wet cement, picked it up, and just threw it away without a second thought. So, is the 5-second rule actually a thing, or is it just a gross myth we all tell ourselves?

Did he at least try to scrape off the cement? Or was it just a total loss?

Honestly, that foreman just wasted a perfectly good sandwich. Tbh, the five second rule is totally legit if you think about it. Germs need time to move, they can't just teleport onto your food the second it touches the ground. It's all about a quick grab, not letting it sit there and soak up the dirt. People are way too scared of a little floor contact.
