Saw a piece about how some contractors actually do this, framing extra work as resolving past issues. They call it a "project completion fee" on the invoice. Makes you wonder how many people just pay it without asking questions.

But isn't that just a made up charge for work they should have done right the first time? In my experience, a good contractor fixes their own mistakes without extra fees. Calling it something fancy doesn't make it right.
