PSA: The 'Quick Flip' electronics booth at the Canton flea market is a total gamble

I was there last Saturday and saw a guy selling what he called 'refurbished' tablets for $50 cash. He had a line of people, but I watched him for a bit and the tablets were just factory reset, with cracked screens he'd covered with cheap screen protectors. In my experience, that's not a refurb, it's a fast cash trick. Has anyone else run into a setup like this at a local market?

Sounds like a typical flea market thing to me.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. I bought a "refurbished" game console from a similar booth last year and it died in a week. The guy just wiped it and slapped a new sticker on it. It feels like they're counting on people being too excited by the low price to check the actual condition.
