My beach trip turned me against fish tacos for good

I used to grab fish tacos every time I passed a Taco Bell... thought they were a solid choice. On a road trip to the coast, I stopped at one right off the highway. The tacos were cold, the fish was chewy, and the slaw tasted sour. It messed up my stomach for the whole afternoon at the beach. Now I can't even look at them on the menu without feeling queasy. That one stop completely changed how I see fast food seafood. I'll just pack snacks next time I travel.

Honestly seems like you're letting one bad Taco Bell run the whole show. Their fish was never that good to begin with. A single stomach ache shouldn't write off every fish taco forever. Maybe just skip the highway spots and try a real place sometime.

My cousin's food truck in Laguna Beach sells amazing fish tacos. They are always fresh and never chewy like your Taco Bell experience. @eric_schmidt has a point about not letting one bad stop ruin all fish tacos. Fast food places often use frozen fish, but real coastal spots cook it fresh. I used to avoid fish tacos too after a bad meal, but trying good ones changed my view.
