Warning: Switching from combos to solo items got me a lukewarm letdown

I always ordered the full combo at Taco Tower (with chips and a soda, you know how it goes). Last month, I quit to cut costs and ditch the chips I never eat. The outcome? I got just a beef burrito, and it was room temperature, with the tortilla all dry and cracked. Some people say combos are made fresh, so they're hotter and tastier. But others think picking single items avoids waste and unwanted stuff. My burrito was so sad it made me rethink everything (honestly, it was like eating cardboard). So, what's better - taking a chance on custom orders for control, or sticking with combos for reliability? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Room temperature? That's just wrong. How do they even serve it like that.

No way, room temp with a DRY tortilla? That's the saddest thing I've ever heard. A burrito's whole thing is being warm and kinda soft, not like stale cardboard. I'd be so mad if I paid for that, combo or not.

That's a total deal breaker for me. In my experience, a burrito needs to be warm to let the flavors mix right. A dry tortilla just ruins the whole thing, like you said. It feels like they didn't care when they made it. I've had that happen before, and it's such a letdown. Your mileage may vary, but for me, it's not worth the money.
