Finally got a clean line on that tricky sloped property in Westview
I kept seeing other crews leave a big gap under the bottom rail on steep hills, which just looks bad and lets animals through. On this job, I set my first post 6 inches higher than normal, then used a water level to mark each one down the slope before digging. The whole run went up in one day with no cutting needed on site. Anyone else have a go-to method for keeping that bottom rail tight to the ground?

Wait, you set the whole run without a single cut on site? How is that even possible on a slope? I've always had to trim at least a few panels to make it work. Your water level trick must be way more exact than my usual string line method. That's honestly impressive if you pulled it off with zero waste.

Honestly the water level trick is just a clear hose and some patience. String lines sag and get blown around, but water always finds true level. The real key is starting with a perfectly square first panel and checking every third one as you go up the slope. Did you ever try using a laser level instead of string?
