My dried flower arrangement led to an awkward moment at a party

I've noticed more people are into dried flowers these days. At a dinner party, a guest thought my centerpiece was just dead plants and made a comment about it. It was funny but also a bit cringe.

But why does it have to be a style you're "in the know" about? If it just looks like dead plants to a normal person, maybe the look is kinda missing the mark lol.

People are still catching on to dried flowers being a real choice for decor. That guest probably just saw brown stems and leaves without knowing it's a whole style. It's one of those things where you have to be in the know to get it, otherwise it just looks like you forgot to throw out old plants. The trend moved faster than general knowledge, so those awkward moments are bound to happen. It's kind of funny how something you put effort into can be totally missed by someone else. Makes you realize not everyone sees the same beauty in things.

Put them in a nice vase with some preserved eucalyptus. Shows it's on purpose, not just forgotten plants.
