Just found out the 'natural flavor' in my yogurt is from beaver glands, no joke

Read the FDA's definition of natural flavors and it can literally mean stuff from beaver castor sacs. Has anyone else seen this on a label and actually looked it up?

Yeah, that beetle thing made me check labels way more often.

Oh man, that's wild! I looked this up a while back after reading the label on some raspberry candy. Turns out "natural flavor" can also come from the dried guts of a beetle. It's listed as something called shellac. Totally ruined the bag for me.
