Hit 100 batches of my 'lazy' focaccia and it's still the best thing I make

I started the recipe during the lockdowns and just kept a tally on my fridge. I thought I'd get bored of it, but it's become my go-to for every potluck and family dinner. The key is a super wet dough and a heavy hand with olive oil, which I learned after my first three tries were total bricks. Anyone else have a simple recipe that just keeps giving?

That wet dough is the secret, and don't be shy with the salt on top either.

Disagree about the wet dough, honestly. It just makes a sticky mess that's harder to shape. A firmer dough gives you more control and still gets a great crumb.

Sounds like someone hasn't made friends with a good bench scraper yet. That sticky mess turns into amazing bread with a little practice. Guess we all have our hills to die on, and mine is a wet one.
