Shoutout to the $300 heat gun I bought for the shop
I got tired of trying to warm up big molds with torches and small heaters. This thing heats a four foot square area evenly in about ten minutes. It cut my mold prep time down by almost half on our last big bronze pour. Anyone else using something like this for pattern work?

That's a heat lance, not a heat gun, but it works great.

My buddy tried using one of those on a stuck bolt and nearly welded his wrench to the engine block. Good catch on the name, @mia_murray1.

Heating a big area evenly is the real trick. A torch just can't do that without hot spots.
