I thought the whole 'smart ring' thing was just a gimmick
I saw a review for the Oura Ring a few months back and figured it was just a tiny, worse smartwatch. I tried one on at a store in Austin and was shocked by how light it was, barely 6 grams. After wearing a friend's for a week, the sleep tracking was way more accurate than my wristband. The battery also lasted a full seven days, which my watch never does. Has anyone else made the switch from a watch to a ring and stuck with it?

Wanted to call it a gimmick too until I tried sleeping with a watch on. The ring just stays out of the way, which is a bigger deal than I expected. My wrist feels oddly free now.

Right, it's not just about sleeping without a watch. You forget you're even wearing it during the day. How often does a watch band get caught on something or just feel bulky when you're working with your hands? The ring never does that. It becomes a part of you in a way a watch never could. That freedom makes all the tech stuff feel secondary, doesn't it?
