Vent: Our gardening group can't agree if container gardens beat in-ground plots.

I think pots on a patio are just as productive.

My friend’s patio was packed with pots last summer and she got more tomatoes than her neighbor with the big backyard plot. She just made sure to water them a lot and feed the soil. It really showed me the space doesn’t matter as much as the care.

Yeah Henry's friend with the patio is totally right about the care mattering more. I had the same thing with peppers last year, lol. My fabric pots on the driveway crushed it compared to my old garden bed. The key for me was mixing in a ton of compost and not skipping the liquid feed every couple weeks. Got so many peppers I was giving them away.
