Just realized how a tiny gap in sealant can RUIN a whole window job.

If you don't double-check your sealant lines, moisture gets in and causes BIG problems later.

What's the first sign you usually see when moisture starts getting in there? Just foggy glass or something worse?

Spot foggy glass first, @harris.julia, then it's mold...

But doesn't foggy glass mean the seal on the insulated unit itself is already broken? I usually notice condensation on the inside of the frame or a draft long before the glass gets foggy. Amys right that it leads to mold, but by the time you see fog between the panes, the damage is way started. A bad sealant job around the whole window frame lets water into the wall, which is a bigger fix than just the glass.
