inFinally decided to get the full run of 'The Question' instead of just the first trade
Yeah, my buddy did that for the whole "Knightfall" story. He spent months hitting every flea market and small shop in a fifty-mile radius, missing like two issues. The day he found that final copy of Batman 497, he just stood in the aisle grinning like an idiot. He said reading that beat-up issue, with the old Toy Biz ads and everything, felt way more real than his paperback collection ever could.

inWhy does nobody talk about the right way to check a tire for a slow leak?
Good point, but you don't need to load the strut. Just jacking it up to take the weight off the wheel lets you check the whole tire and bead evenly.

inAppreciation post: My new heated vest for cold water dives
That battery pack snag is a real headache. Saw a guy on a job rig a small carabiner to his D-ring and clip it there, kept it off his waist. Another trick is using that flat webbing pouch some vests come with and safety-pinning it under your arm, out of the way. Makes a big difference when you're squeezing through a tight hatch.

inA client in Chicago told me my fades looked too harsh under his office lights
Ever notice how some places have that weird greenish light that makes everyone look sick? Read an article once about how different bulbs can totally change how colors look, especially skin tones. That's why makeup artists hate those old office fluorescents. Your barber's smart to carry a specific bulb, probably gets the hair color right under normal light instead of his shop lights.

inI chose to replace a full compressor on a 10-year-old fridge instead of selling them a new unit
Tell that to my bank account, I'm basically a charity with a toolbox.
