Dealing with a dripping tap at home made me rethink hydraulic leaks on the job

I'm starting to think that small seeps in the lines aren't worth the downtime to fix immediately, even though everyone says to stop at the first sign.

Ugh, totally feel you on this. The whole "zero tolerance" rule sounds good in safety talks but real work doesn't always stop for a few drops. Low key, a tiny weep keeps things moving until the next planned downtime. The real worry is when it goes from a seep to a spray without warning, that's the scary part. Gotta balance the risk with keeping the job going, it's never simple.

On my commute, there's a road where the speed limit is 55 but everyone goes 65. It's just like that work stuff, where the strict rule doesn't fit how things actually run. We all make small calls to keep daily life moving, not just at jobs. That push and pull between perfect safety and getting things done is in schools, homes, everywhere. Sometimes the rule book needs to understand real world messiness.

Those rules look great on paper until production's breathing down your neck.
