Finally figured out why my shoulders stopped hurting after I got a standing desk

Tbh I was still getting aches even with the new desk, so I checked a guide online about arm position. Honestly, my elbows were way too low, and raising the desk a few inches made everything feel better right away. How did you all get your desk height just right?

Yeah the elbow height thing is key, but also check where your forearms rest on the desk edge. I had my setup perfect height-wise but still got a weird ache because the hard edge was pressing right into my forearms. Put a folded towel or foam pad along the front and it takes all that pressure off.

Totally true about the hard edge pressure. I read that constant pressure on the forearm can actually compress a nerve there over time. A soft pad is such a cheap and easy fix for that.

Check how your wrists bend while typing too.
