Hot take: Fancy ovens aren't needed for killer cookies
Everyone acts like you need a high-end oven with perfect temps to bake well. I use my old, uneven oven and still get wins. Last month, I made chocolate chip cookies that were crisp outside and soft inside, no fancy settings. Sure, new ovens are nice, but they don't make the baker. Why push people to spend money when practice matters more? My fail was a flat cake once, but I learned my oven's hot spots and fixed it.
